PFRD ELECTIONS – JOB DESCRIPTIONS

Elections for a new PFRD Executive Committee will be in 3 weeks.  We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an interest to continue to grow the organization.

Parents For Riverside Drive (PFRD) is Riverside’s parent teacher group whose primary purpose is to fundraise to provide and support enrichment programs for the students of Riverside Drive.

The Executive Committee’s main responsibility is to oversee the budget income and expenses and ensure smooth operations of the organization.

President

• Identifies Chairs for PFRD fundraisers and events
• Oversees in general the smooth operations of all PFRD fundraisers and events
• Oversees the smooth operations of all PFRD-sponsored programs
• Maintains ongoing communications with Principal.
• Responsible for communications between PFRD and members.
• Responsible for running monthly PFRD Meetings

Vice President

• Supports President in day-to-day operations of PFRD
• Supports President in overseeing the general operations of various fundraisers
• Creates agendas for monthly PFRD meetings
• Creates flyers for monthly PFRD meetings
• Attends monthly PFRD meetings

Secretary

• Responsible for taking and maintaining minutes for monthly PFRD meetings
• Responsible for maintaining By Laws for PFRD
• Responsible for maintaining PFRD Membership
• Supports President in day-to-day operations of PFRD
• Attends monthly PFRD meetings

Treasurer

• Records all financial transactions and reconcile the bank account using Quickbooks
• Prepares monthly treasurer report for the PFRD meetings
• Monitors paypal transactions and run credit cards as needed
• Works with our outside accountant as needed (the outside accountant prepares an annual audit, produces the 1099′s and prepares the taxes)
• Attends monthly PFRD meetings

Assistant Treasurer

• Makes bank deposits
• Writes payroll checks and reimbursement checks
• Picks up money/checks on campus as needed
• Attends monthly PFRD meetings

Parliamentarian

• Ensures Roberts Rules of Order are followed for meetings and voting.
• Coordinates hand-outs and hospitality for meeting.
• Ensures orderly flow to meeting and keep meeting moving forward while allowing everyone to be heard.
• Supports President in day-to-day operations of PFRD
• Attends monthly PFRD meetings

FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT

Come join us for our 2nd Annual Family Literacy Night on Wednesday, March 21st.  Teachers have prepared literacy based activities for family members of all ages to participate in.  You will be able to move from room to room and experience all of the activities.  The event is open to students, siblings and their parents.

This is not a drop-off event.
