Come explore our large selection of books and find great reads for every person in your family. All of the books have been carefully reviewed and approved for young readers. These books represent the best authors and illustrators in children’s publishing.
We are passionate about reading and hope you and your family can be part of our Book Fair experience.
There are several books that weren’t there earlier in the week. If you’ve already been once, you may want to make a second trip this week to view all the new additions.
WINTER MUSIC PROGRAM
WHEN: Monday, December 12
WHERE: School Auditorium
Our Winter Program is TOMORROW- a chance for all of our kiddies to show off their vocal talents. There will be three performances throughout the school day. Every performance is the exact same. Although you can attend any performance, in order to ensure seating for everyone, there are recommended times for families with children at each grade level.
8:30a – 9:30a
Recommended for families with 2nd & 5th grade students
10:45a – 11:45a
Recommended for families with 1st & 4th grade students

Recommended for families with Kindergarten & 3rd grade students
AWARDS ASSEMBLY

Those of you with students receiving an Achievement Award this quarter received a letter last week informing you. Please note that the awards ceremony is onWEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 14TH. Times are specified in the letter.

WALK A THON
WHEN: Friday, February 10, 2012
WHERE: Riverside Drive Charter School
Riverside Drive Charter’s 2nd Annual Walk A Thon is around the corner. Last year was amazing. This year will be even better. Along with the raffle for the ‘Limo and Lunch with Principal Kessler’, there will be prizes for top earners! So, to give the kids a headstart to work those aunts, uncles and grandparents over the holidays, pledge forms will be going home this week. Pledge forms will also be available at www.riversidedriveparents.org beginning next week.
Remember:
- $20 pledges = water bottle
- 100% Class participation = 15 minutes additional recess time
- Every $50 = 1 entry into the raffle for the ‘Limo and Lunch with Principal Kessler’
- Top earner = Surprise Super Prize.
ARTWORK FOR EDUCATION COMING IN 2012.
Be on the look out for Artwork for Education information after the 1st of the year! Unlike other fundraisers, this one captures your child’s artistic endeavors and lets you share them as personal note cards, water bottles, tote bags and more!
Simply sign & return the permission slip as soon as it comes home. Signing the permission slip allows your child to participate. It does not mean you are agreeing to purchase anything.
